Welcome! I am Heather Smith an IBCLC RN and Mother Baby nurse with 14 years of experience. I have a love for helping mothers meet the breastfeeding goals. I have witnessed the joy of a mother nursing for the first time and also seen the struggles and stress that breastfeeding mamma's experience. My hope is to help you reach your breastfeeding goals by offering lactation support throughout your breastfeeding the duration journey.

I graduated from Radford University and began working on L&D at Augusta Health right away. I have been there for 14 years and recently decided that I wanted to specialize in lactation. I was trained by two wonderful IBCLC's in Charlottesville with Breastfeeding Blues and Bliss, where I have worked for a year. I decided to open my own practice in 2020. I have fallen in love with the work I have done the past few years. I now have an office at Augusta Health Care for Women, where I see clients in addition to in home consults as well.

I have an amazingly supportive husband and kiddos who are my life. I love spending time outdoors with my family as well as taking vacations with them. I am very active in the foster care community and serve as the Foster Care Ministry Leader at Bridge Christian Church.
