Welcome! I am Heather Smith an IBCLC and Mother Baby nurse with 14 years of experience. I have a love for helping mothers meet the breastfeeding goals. I have witnessed the joy of a mother nursing for the first time and also seen the struggles and stress first time breastfeeding mamma's experience. My hope is to help you reach your breastfeeding goals by offering lactation support throughout your breastfeeding the duration journey.

I graduated from Radford University and began working on L&D at Augusta Health right away. I have been there for 14 years and recently decided that I wanted to specialize in lactation. I was trained by two wonderful IBCLC's in Charlottesville with Breastfeeding Blues and Bliss, where I have worked for a year. Now I have decided to be able to offer lactation consults covered by insurance that it is time to open my own practice. I now have an office at Augusta Health Care for Women, where I see clients in addition to in home consults.

I have an amazingly supportive husband and three young kiddos who are my life. I love taking some time outdoors with my family as well as taking vacations with them. I am very active in the foster care community and serve as the Foster Care Ministry Leader at Bridge Christian Church.
